Casa Amelia is a recently renovated house in an exceptionally beautiful location on the edge of the quiet village of Acequias. The front door opens into a spacious beamed hall and dining room. The rustic kitchen, traditional store room, spacious shower room and winter sitting room with fireplace, are also on the ground floor. An unusual ‘double’ staircase leads to an airy landing/ reading area, three large bedrooms, and the bathroom.
A little door opens onto the first terrace, and from there a staircase leads up onto the enormous roof terrace with 180 degree views over the village, the Lecrin Valley and the mountains beyond.
The village has a baker’s van that delivers daily, and a pleasant walk through the olive groves will bring you to the nearby village of Niguelas with its bars, stores, pharmacy.
The village is on the edge of the Sierra Nevada National Park; the historic Moorish capital of Granada is 20 minutes away; the beach with fish restaurants at Salobrena 30 minutes, and the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada less than an hour.
